NCLL CLASS EXPLORES ANTARCTICA

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present call “An Excursion to Antartica,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, in the Superior Dome’s room 101-B.
Frida Waara, filmmaker and world traveler, will describe the month she and a team of others spent at the South Pole, where their mission was to experience life on the edge. With the aid of photos, Waara will talk about her experience, which was filled with challenges, tension and obstacles. The team’s findings will become part of an upcoming film titled Condition One: Extremes and the Human Spirit, produced by the National Science Foundation.
