NMU SYMPHONIC BAND CONCERT HAS INTERNATIONAL FLAVOR

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The NMU symphonic band is holding a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 10 in Reynolds Recital Hall.
The theme of this concert is international music. Pieces will include German Franz von Blon’s “Die Wacht am Rhein Marsch”; French Darious Milhaud’s “Suite Francaise”; English Gordon Jacob’s “Flag of Stars,” which incorporates part of the “Star-Spangled Banner”; American John Barnes Chance’s “Elegy”; Robert Smith’s “Africa: Ceremony Song and Ritual”; and Argentine Alberto Ginastera’s “Danza Final from Estancia.”
