DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOMICIDE TALK AT NMU

Monday 3, 2011
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Marquette attorney Cathy Church will give a seminar titled “Discourses from the Academy: U.S. Intimate Violence Deaths in the News” as part of the Northern Michigan University psychology department’s colloquium series. The event begins at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in 167 Gries Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Church is a legal expert on the process by which battering cases result in homicide. Her goal is to inform the public about the frequency of these cases in various contexts and to share this rich data source with NMU researchers who can process the data and draw conclusions.

For more information on this lecture, contact the psychology department at 227-2935.
