NCLL PRESENTS MOON PHOTOGRAPHS PROGRAM

Wednesday 2, 2011
MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Curiosity about the Moon” from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in room 101-B in the Superior Dome.

Scott Stobbelaar, NCLL member and former director of the Shiras Planetarium, will present photographs of the moon he has taken using Northern Michigan University’s telescope. His photographs will highlight the more detailed parts of the moon, and he will explain how such craters, valleys and mountains are formed. Stobbelaar will also explain why the different moon phases occur and encourages questions from the audience.

The program is free for NCLL members and $5 for non-members. Register by Saturday, Nov. 12, by contacting Judy Martin at 343-6609.
