MARQUETTE, Mich.—Author Caitlin Horrocks will read from her book, This Is Not Your City, on Monday, Feb. 6, at Northern Michigan University. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Cadillac Room of the University Center. It is free and open to the public.

            This Is Not Your City was named a New York Times Book Review editor’s choice, a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers selection and one of the best 100 books of 2011 by the San Francisco Chronicle. It also received a starred review from Publishers Weekly.

Horrocks’ stories have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Best American Short Stories andThe Pushcart Prize XXXV. She has won the Plimpton Prize and a Glenna Luschei Award. She is a professor of writing at Grand Valley State University.
