Palestine Youth Theater Director Speaks at NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Jackie Lubeck, co-director of Theatre Day Productions in Palestine, will present “The Impact of Making Theater for Youth in the Gaza Strip” as part of the Northern Michigan University International Visiting Scholars Series. Her talk is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building.

            Lubeck specializes in developing plays with and for youth. She leads drama workshops and visits schools in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. She also trains adults in drama teaching, acting and project initiation. Lubeck conducts teacher workshops in schools and supports international exchange in Palestine and abroad for learning, training, advocacy and networking.
