Author Reading at NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University is hosting a free reading by acclaimed author Nahid Rachlin at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, in the Ontario Room in the University Center.

            Rachlin is the author of eight books, including the memoir “Persian Girls,” which she will read from.  “Persian Girls” portrays the novelist’s early life in Iran. Rachlin taught five years as writer in residence at Barnard College and now teaches at the New School University in New York City.
