NMU Colloquium Explores Police Shootings

MARQUETTE—A Northern Michigan University colloquium will explore separate incidents in different cities in which white police officers shot individuals of other races. Mikhail Lyubansky of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will present “A Tale of Two Cities” at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 in 2904 West Science. The event is free and open to the public.
Lyubansky will discuss conventional and restorative approaches to justice and how the effects of each impacted the cases. This presentation is sponsored by the NMU departments of psychology, criminal justice and philosophy.
