NCLL Offers Program on Sauna History, Health Benefits

MARQUETTE, Mich.— The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a program on the health benefits of saunas, whirlpools and massages. The event begins at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Second Street Sauna on the corner of Second Street and College Avenue. There will be an optional hour to sauna following the presentation.
Massage therapist Bruce Carlson will discuss sauna history, along with the health benefits of this practice and complementary therapies. Cost is $10 for NCLL members and $15 for non-members, with an additional $5 for the optional sauna. Register by Monday, April 1, by calling 227-2979.
