NMU Programming Contest Results Announced

            MARQUETTE, Mich.— The 14th annual Northern Michigan University Invitational Programing Contest was held Saturday, April 6.

            The top three undergraduate teams were from Michigan Technological University.  Future Gadget Lab won first place, Sloppy Joe Piractes placed second and The Flippin’ Bits came in third.

In the ranking for the top three school winners, MTU was first place, NMU earned second place and Algoma University earned third place.

In the challenge, there were 68 students on 25 teams from representing four different schools. The four schools represented at the competition were MTU, NMU, College of Saint Scholastica, and Algoma University.  The contest consisted of six programming problems solved over a five-hour period.
