Woodwind Quintet Performs at NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Page Five Woodwind Quintet, with guest artist Nancy Redfern, will present a program of chamber music for winds and piano at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in Reynolds Recital Hall at Northern Michigan University. There is no admission charge.  

Ensemble members are: Claudia Drosen, principal flutist with the Marquette Symphony Orchestra; Tamara Field, former principal oboist with the Michigan Chamber Orchestra; clarinetist Deborah Check Reeves, curator of education and woodwind instruments at the National Music Museum and former NMU faculty member; Gary Reeves, professor of horn at the University of South Dakota; and Will Peebles, professor of bassoon at Western Carolina University.  Redfern is an NMU music professor who will join the group in presenting works by French, English, and Canadian composers.
