NMU Faculty Discuss, Perform Schumann Sonata

MARQUETTE, Mich.--Composer Robert Schumann's "Sonata Op.105 for Violin and Piano" will be the focus of a faculty presentation and performance at Northern Michigan University. The event is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, in Reynolds Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Pianist Nancy Redfern and violinist Barbara Rhyneer, both NMU music professors, will discuss Schumann's life, influence, piano music and review the sonata form before performing the piece for the audience.
