MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s jazz ensembles  will perform their first concert of the season at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Reynolds Recital Hall. They are under the direction of NMU Music Professor Mark Flaherty.

            The concert will feature the NMU Jazz Band and the NMU Jazz Combo performing music by Thelonious Monk, Lee Morgan, Sonny Rollins and others. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
