Media Photo, Interview Opportunity Friday

Thursday 10, 2013

Apologize for the late notice, but two Lloyd/Flanders representatives will visit Northern Michigan University Friday morning (Oct. 11). The manufacturer has partnered with NMU’s human-centered design program to develop a new line of woven outdoor furniture targeting younger consumers. NMU students, under the direction of Professor Peter Pless, will have an opportunity to visit the manufacturer and gain an understanding of the loom process later this semester. But Friday, members of the Lloyd/Flanders research and development team will be on campus to evaluate the students’ early concepts and provide early-stage feedback. The session will begin at 10 a.m. in room 173 of the Art and Design Building. Media are welcome to cover the visit. The team members will do a round-robin critique of the students’ sketches, computer models or 3D models.
