NMU Presents ‘The Medicine of Music’ with Robert Gupta

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s student organization Platform Personalities will present speaker and advocate Robert Gupta at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center.

Gupta is a Los Angeles Philharmonic violinist whose interest in neurobiology and mental health issues has made him a renowned advocate for the redemptive and regenerative power of music. Gupta directs the organization “Street Symphony,” a free classical music concert series for the unaided, mentally ill, homeless, incarcerated and veteran communities.

Tickets will be available at the door. Admission is free with an NMU student ID and $2 for the general public. This event is sponsored by Platform Personalities and the Student Activity Fee.
