Lieutenant Governor to Speak at NMU
MARQUETTE — Michigan Lt. Gov. Brian Calley will speak at Northern Michigan University on Friday, Nov. 1. His presentation, “Transforming a Great State,” is part of President David Haynes’ Critical Issues Conversation Series. It will be held at 10 a.m. in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building.
Calley will discuss the corporate income tax, state liabilities, transportation funding and mental health reform in rural areas. He is the youngest person to serve as Michigan’s lieutenant governor. He received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and an MBA from Grand Valley State University.
