Presentation on Sustainable Future at NMU

            MARQUETTE—Nicole Foss and Laurence Boomert will speak at Northern Michigan University about the state of human population and what can be done to ensure a comfortable future for upcoming generations. Their talk begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in 103 Jamrich Hall. It is free and open to the public.

Foss has spoken internationally on this topic and is the senior editor of “The Automatic Earth,” a cross-discipline website about environmental crises. Boomert is the founder of the Environmental Business Network and also takes an interdisciplinary approach in his speeches. He has worked to bridge different cultures as a way to approach environmental and societal problems.
