MARQUETTE, Mich.—John Hofmeister, founder and CEO of Citizens for Affordable Energy and former president of Shell Oil Company, will present “Affordable and Sustainable Energy” on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Northern Michigan University.

Hofmeister is the author of Why We Hate the Oil Companies: Straight talk from an energy insider. His talk is part of the Your Wealth series at NMU and begins at 5 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall. It is free and open to the public. Hofmeister will offer a “pragmatic, non-partisan view” of affordable energy solutions, environmental protection, energy alternatives, efficiency, infrastructure, public policy, competitiveness, social cohesion and quality of life.
