NCLL Hosts Braille Workshop

            Marquette, Mich. — The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Braille: The Touch System of Reading” from 1-3 p.m. Monday, March 17, at First United Methodist Church in Marquette. This workshop is $5 for the public and free for NCLL members.  

Presenter Sharon Rice is a retired teacher consultant for the visually impaired. Participants will learn about the braille code along with its history, usage, data and how it is produced. By the end of the class, participants will be able to read with their eyes the most basic form of literary braille.
