A free "Introduction to Home Brewing" workshop will be held at the Beaumier Upper Peninsula Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University on Saturday, June 28. It begins at 1 p.m. in 105 Cohodas Hall.

Hobbyist James Shefchik will take participants through the basics of the processes of this craft and the tools of the trade. He will provide guidance and information for the beginner homebrewer, then answer questions about the presentation or how to get started with the hobby.

Light refreshments will be provided. The workshop coincides with an exhibit titled "What's on Tap? Brewing in the Upper Peninsula." For more information, call 227-1219.
