MARQUETTE, Mich.- Sydney Landers of Marquette is the recipient of the John E. and Jean B. Brown Economics Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

In order to qualify for the scholarship students must be a sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a degree in economics. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have graduated from an Upper Peninsula school.

The Brown Economics Scholarship was established in 1999 by an anonymous donor.
