MARQUETTE, Mich. — Larissa Halonen of Delano, Minn. is the recipient of the Margaret Weller Rettig Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 year.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be pursuing a degree in nursing and within one year of graduation. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher to be considered.

The Margaret Weller Rettig Scholarship was established to honor the first dean of the school of nursing and Allied Health, Margaret Weller Rettig.
