MARQUETTE, Mich. — Nolan Lukasik of Carney is the recipient of the Sherman Nebel Memorial Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 year.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be majoring in business or engineering. First preference is given to applicants from Alaska and second preference is given to students from the Upper Peninsula. 

The Sherman Nebel Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 by family and friends of Mr. Nebel.
