MARQUETTE, Mich. — Melinda Nordquist of Munising is the recipient of the Robert S. Myefski Memorial Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 year.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be a junior or senior with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award alternates between business students and student athletes. To be considered for the scholarship applicants must be Upper Peninsula high school graduates.

The Robert S. Myefski Memorial Scholarship was established by Robert S. Mysefski, a 1981 graduate of the NMU Walker L. Cisler College of Business. After his death in 1996 it was designated as a memorial to him and was supplemented by his family and friends.
