MARQUETTE, Mich. — Rachel Schultz of Saugatuck is the recipient of the Sten Taube/John Hughes Earth Science Award at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 school year.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be majoring in earth science or secondary education earth science. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher.

The Sten Taube/John Hughes Earth Science Award was established in 2002 by Mr. Sten Taube and Dr. John Hughes, retired professors from the Geography Department at Northern Michigan University.
