MARQUETTE, Mich.- Danielle LaCount of Pulaski, Wic. is the recipient of the Phyllis and Carol Maki Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be a full-time freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to an Upper Peninsula high school graduate.

The Phyliss and Carol Maki Scholarship was established in 2007 in honor of Phyllis and Carlo Maki by family and friends.
