MARQUETTE, Mich.- Katelyn Roth of Negaunee is the recipient of the Roy and Ellen Brigman Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015  academic year.

To qualify for the scholarship students must be a sophomore, junior or senior who are pursuing a degree in physical therapy or special education. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Preference is given to applicants from the Upper Peninsula or Traverse City area.

The Roy and Ellen Brigman Scholarship was established in 1990 by Roy and Ellen (Ewing) Brigman, Northern Michigan University class of of 1937 and 1936 respectively.
