MARQUETTE, Mich.- Sarah Ahnen of Bessemer is the recipient of the James Wahla Science Education Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

To qualify for the scholarship students must a junior or senior majoring in elementary science education with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

The James Wahla Science Education Scholarship was established in 1996 by the family and friends of James C. Wahla, Ph.D., former professor of elementary science education in the Department of Education.
