MARQUETTE, Mich.- Kathryn Lightfoot of Sault Sainte Marie is the recipient of the Joseph L. DeCook Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

To qualify for the scholarship students must be either an education or nursing student, preference is given to students who graduated from an Upper Peninsula high school.  

The Joseph L. DeCook Scholarship was established in 1985 by the family, friends, colleagues and students of Joseph L. DeCook.
