Cancer Awareness Carnival at NMU
Monday 29, 2014
The Cancer Awareness Committee at Northern Michigan University will present the second annual Cancer Awareness Carnival from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in the area between Magers and Van Antwerp Halls. This event is free for students and the public.
The carnival is designed to raise awareness of the different forms of cancer and the treatment options available. Student organizations from NMU help coordinate booths, provide information, distribute popcorn and cotton candy, and set up raffles and games. Last year, the carnival drew nearly 150 attendees.
