African Guitar Summit at NMU

The Northern Nights performing arts series will present a concert by the Juno Award-winning African Guitar Summit on Thursday, Nov. 20.  The show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Great Lakes Rooms. A cash bar will be available. Tickets prices are:  students/kids, $5 in advance/$6 at the door; NMU faculty/staff/seniors 60+, $13/$15; and general public, $18/$20. Tickets can be purchased at EZ ticket outlets, www.nmu.edu/tickets or at the event. 

These Canadian guitarists of African origin won the 2005 Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year. African Guitar Summit unites the talents of six musicians, each distinct in cultural backgrounds and languages, yet capable of combining their talents to create musical magic. They originally hail from Guinea, Kenya, Burundi/Rwanda and Madagascar.
