Coffee House Concert March 7

The Beaumier Coffee House Series at Northern Michigan University will feature two Marquette folk acts: singer/songwriter Diana Moyle and jamgrass masters Sparrow (Three). The concer beging at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7, in the Peter White Lounge of the University Center. Admission is free (donations are appreciated).\

Moyle plays primarily traditional folk and folk/country covers. She loves and supports Michigan-born music and has been part of local Marquette bands for the past four years. Moyle will perform some familiar folk tunes on guitar and ukulele. 

Sparrow (Three) is the Marquette bluegrass quartet Sparrow Tree minus bassist Heather Evans, who will be out of town. Consisting of Troy Graham on guitar and lead vocals, Sam Graves on mandolin and vocals and Russel Harmon on banjo, these musicians are infusing a generous shot of youth and vigor into the Upper Peninsula’s folk grass scene with their captivating mix of original compositions and traditional folk repertoire.
