NMU Presents 'A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking'

MARQUETTE, Mich.—  Northern Michigan University’s theater program will present the drama, A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking. The production will run for two nights: Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. It begins at 7:30 p.m. in the James A. Panowski Black Box Theatre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets or online at www.nmu.edu/tickets. Prices are $5 for NMU students with ID, $10 for other students and $15 for the general public.

A Coupla White Chicks Sitting Around Talking follows straight-laced housewife Maude Mix, who is unprepared for her new eccentric neighbor, Hannah Mae Bindler. Hannah Mae badgers Maude into friendship and the two eventually join forces against their errant and erring husbands.

Marquette community member Monica Nordeen plays Maude and NMU student Jesse Morrow plays Hannah Mae. Ansley Valentine directs the production and designed the costumes. Faculty members Victor Holliday and David Pierce are scenic designer and technical director, respectively.
