NMU Offers American Heart Assn. Courses

MARQUETTE, Mich.— The School of Health and Human Performance at Northern Michigan University will offer two American Heart Association courses: Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED; and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

The Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course satisfies the First Aid and CPR requirement for new teacher certification in the State of Michigan. The registration deadline is April 3 and the class will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, in room 242 of the Physical Education Instructional Facility (PEIF).

The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course is appropriate for nursing and pre-med students. The registration deadline is March 20 and the course will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28.

Cost per course is $60 with a $10 discount for NMU faculty, staff and students. To register or for more information, call 227-2130.
