NMU Offers Accounting and Finance CPE Seminar Series

The Northern Michigan University College of Business will offer the 2015 George A. Gustafson Accounting and Finance CPE Seminar Series. Each course is four credit hours. The schedule follows, with both the morning (8:30 a.m. to noon) and afternoon (1-4:30 p.m.) session topics and instructors indicated for each date:

Monday, May 11: Life Cycle of a CPA Firm, Carol Johnson of NMU’s College of Business; and Client and Employee Relations, Gary Stark of NMU’s College of Business.

Tuesday, May 12: The Challenges Facing the Retirement Plan Sponsor, Rich Tegge, president of Wealth Strategy Group; and Maintaining PCI Compliance, Jill Compton of NMU risk and internal audit.

Monday, June 1: Grant Management, Erica Franich, director of grants and contracts at NMU; and Financial Planning: Saving for College Expenses, Daniel Kill, NMU College of Business.

Tuesday, June 2: Billing Practices, Carol Johnson of NMU’s College of Business; The Dodd-Frank Act and Fraud, CPA Auditing and Banking Controls, Glenn Johnson, compliance and CRA officer at Range Bank.
