The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a program on surgical technologists from 1-3 p.m. Monday, June 29, in the Peter White Public Library Shiras Room. 

Sandra Kontio, a retired surgical technologist and educator, will explain what these professionals do, how they are trained and why they are essential in the highly specialized environment of the operating room.
