International Students Thank Scholarship Donors

Northern Michigan University international students who received scholarships through the NMU Foundation recently met with the donors to show their appreciation for the support.

Sophomore Oyundan "Daria" Uurdsaikhan from Mongolia received the Earl and Miriam Hilton Memorial Scholarship. She is pictured with Miriam Hilton at her home. Daria previously attended North Dickinson County School in Felch. Her academic major is pre-professional architecture.

Sanjay Gnawali (left) and Jimin Kim (left center) earned the International Student Scholarship. They are pictured with Marilyn and John Weting, who established the scholarship in 1998. Gnawali is a junior from Nepal majoring in finance and risk management. Kim is a senior from South Korea majoring in marketing.

 

 

 

Also receiving the Weting International Student Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year was Ahmed Umair Riyas from Sri Lanka. He is a mechanical engineering technologies major at NMU.
