Traditional French-Canadian Dance Oct. 4
MARQUETTE, Mich. — The musical group Les Poules á Colin will play at a dance being held as part of local French-Canadian Heritage Week activities. The dance begins at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Ore Dock Brewing Company. It is sponsored by the Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University and the Hiawatha Music Co-op. Admission is $10 for the public and $5 for students.

Les Poules á Colin is composed of five young musicians of traditional music in relief. The members grew up on the same block and were influenced by their parents, all active members of the world of traditional music. They are influenced not only by family environments, but their education, personal musical tastes and touring experience. The band has won various awards in Canada and the United States.
