NMU Presents 'Into the Woods'

Northern Michigan University’s Forest Roberts Theatre will present the Stephen Sondheim musical, Into The Woods. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11-14 and Nov. 18-21, with additional 1 p.m. matinees Nov. 14 and 21. The production will be performed in the James A Panowski Black Box Theatre.

Into The Woods is a musical about a childless baker and his wife, who venture into the woods to try to break the family curse placed on them by the witch. In the woods, they meet Rapunzel, Cinderella, Jack and his beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and other fairytale characters. In Act II, the characters find out that “happily ever after” isn’t always quite so happy.
