Nominations are being accepted for NMU staff recognition awards for excellence in service, distinguished team and technology innovation. The nomination deadline is Monday, Feb. 1. Winners will be honored at the annual faculty and staff recognition luncheon in April.

·Excellence in Service Award: To recognize distinguished performance and service in furthering the goals of the university by individuals within the AFSCME, TOP, Administrative/Professional, and Non-Represented (Coach, Dean, Department Head, Executive, Senior Management, and Senior Administrator) employee groups.

·Distinguished Team Award:  To recognize university work teams that demonstrate exemplary performance and/or innovation while working together in an open and collaborative manner in order to achieve an objective that furthers the university's mission and/or goals.

·Technology Innovation Staff Award (formerly the TLC Staff Award): To recognize exemplary staff use/support of technology initiatives in the areas of teaching or university business practices. The award is designed to recognize essential uses of the laptop/desktop or associated technologies in support of the university’s mission and vision.
