NMU Orchestra Presents Children's Concert

The Northern Michigan University Orchestra will perform a free concert directed toward an audience ages 4-14 at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Reynolds Recital Hall. The concert will be about 45 minutes in length and less formal, with the house lights illuminated. Musical concepts and selected instruments will be presented between featured selections.
The program will include “Hoe-Down” by Aaron, “Blackberry Blossom” (traditional), “Andante” from the “Surprise Symphony” by Joseph Frederick Haydn, “Procession of Sardar” by M. Ippoitov-Ivanov, “Sailors Hornpipe” and “Plink, Plank, Plunk” by Leroy Anderson. NMU professor Barbara Rhyneer.
