CEEE Offers Workshop to U.P. Teachers
The NMU Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship (CEEE) presented a full-day workshop on the "Common Sense: Economics for Life!" course package to 25 Upper Peninsula teachers. Videoconferencing technology enabled the MARESA event to be transmitted to four other Intermediate School Districts.
The workshop has been offered across the country and serves to identify instructors interested in adopting part or all of the course at their schools. It was organized by Hugo Eyzaguirre, CEEE director, and led by Tawni Ferrarini, Sam M. Cohodas Professor.
The flexible Common Sense course shell includes standard learning objectives, videos, exercises, audios, Excel spreadsheet activities, homework assignments and a test bank for quizzes and exams. It is ready to transfer to various course management systems, including Blackboard, Moodle and Canvas.
