The animated French film, Le Tableau, will be shown at Northern Michigan University at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, in 1318 Jamrich Hall. Admission is free. 

The film takes place in an unfinished painting, where the completed figures take power over the ones left incomplete by the artist. Three of the painting’s citizens, one from each social class, set off on a quest to find the artist in the hope that he can restore harmony to their world. In June 2013, the film was given the award for Best Feature Film at the eighth Festival of European Animated Feature Films and TV Specials.
