NMU Presents 'Secret Garden' Musical

Northern Michigan University's Forest Roberts Theatre will present “The Secret Garden” musical Wednesday, April 6, through Saturday, April 9. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., with an additional 1 p.m. matinee performance on Saturday.  

Following her parents’ unexpected deaths, the newly orphaned Mary Lennox is sent away from her home in India to live with her embittered and isolated uncle, Archibald, and his invalid son, Colin. While exploring her new home, Mary meets new friends and discovers a magical secret garden. Through haunting melodies and spirits from her past, Mary leads her new family on a journey of discovery and forgiveness.

NMU professor Shelley Russell is directing the production. Rob Engelhart of NMU's music department is providing musical direction.

Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for the general public. They can be purchased at all NMU EZ Ticket outlets or at nmu.edu/tickets.
