Be the Match Registration Drive April 11-12

Tuesday 5, 2016

The Northern Michigan University Volunteer Center will coordinate a Be the Match bone marrow registration drive on campus. The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 11, in the Payne/Halverson lobby and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in the Jamrich Hall ticket booth near the auditorium.

Volunteer Center staff will be available to swab cheek cells and help students join the Be the Match registry as a prospective donor. Be the Match is operated by the National Marrow Donor Program. For the past 25 years, it has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world for thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma.
