Editors: Please note the July 6 registration deadline.

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will tour Negaunee's Carp River Gardens, the largest perennial garden in the Upper Peninsula and northern Wisconsin region, on Thursday, July 14.

The Carp River Gardens have been featured in "Lake Superior" and "Midwest Living" magazines and served as a favorite location for weddings and other special events. Owners Jim Somers and Mike Wirtanen will be available to answer questions during the self-guided tour.

Participants may carpool from Tadych's Econofoods in Marquette at 11 a.m. or drive themselves. A brown bag snack is recommended. The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members. For more information, contact class liaison Phyllis James at 225-1004. Register by the July 6 deadline by calling 227-2979.
