Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center Celebrates 10 Years

The Beaumier Upper Peninsula Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University will host a 10th anniversary celebration from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at its gallery in Gries Hall. The event will feature live music, appetizers, refreshments and cake. Admission is free. Visitors may also view the current exhibition titled "Remnants: Ghost Towns of the Upper Peninsula."

The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center is a historical museum and educational facility. Its mission is to promote and preserve the history and culture of the Upper Peninsula through an active slate of exhibitions and engaging public programs. The center also collects and preserves artifacts related to the history of NMU. The center maintains several displays across campus in addition to its gallery in Gries Hall.
