NMU Alumna Committed to Rural Health Care
Friday 20, 2017
NMU alumna Cara Crawford-Bartle has demonstrated a commitment to providing quality healthcare in underserved rural areas, much like her hometown of West Branch. She completed her undergraduate degree as part of MedStart, a selective program that guarantees admission to the Wayne State University School of Medicine. At WSU, Crawford-Bartle is a National Health Service Corps Scholar. She also has engaged with the local community through her work with a student-run free clinic, a medicine and political action program and ROCK (Raising our Community’s Knowledge), a group she helped coordinate.
