Alumni-Owned Business Honored

Monday 20, 2017

NMU alumnus Lee Francisco received an Operation Action U.P. Excellence Award on behalf of his business, 906 Technologies. The annual award recognizes for-profit businesses that have contributed to the economic well-being of the Upper Peninsula.

“It was not only great to be recognized by Operation Action U.P. and the Upper Peninsula community, but receiving this award also helped validate the hard work that our company has put forth these past 11 years,” said Francisco. “Operation Action U.P.’s support of entrepreneurship throughout Upper Michigan is something that can help create more job opportunities and businesses for future growth and economic stability.”

Four recipients were honored at Operation Action U.P.’s 52nd annual meeting: 906 Technologies, Advanced Blending Solutions, Neenah Paper Michigan and Northern Machining & Repair.
