NMU Presents Exercise Science Seminars

Northern Michigan University's 2017 Exercise Science Seminar Series will be held each Monday through April 24. The first event on March 13 features a guest presentation titled "Brain in the Game: How Neurocognition Affects ACL Injuries." Mitch Stephenson, an NMU graduate and doctoral candidate at Iowa State University, will give the talk at 6:15 p.m. in room 109 of the Learning Resources Center. The public is invited.

NMU second-year graduate students in exercise science will deliver the remaining seminars this semester. The following March events all begin at 6:15 p.m. in room 109 of the Learning Resources Center. 

March 20: "Different Styles of Yoga and the Stress Hormone Cortisol" by Meagan Hennekens.

March 27: "Effects of Exercise on Atherosclerosis" by Mansi Trivedi, followed by a 7:15 p.m. presentation titled "Fermented Foods and Athletic Performance" by Nara Paulsen.
